Designer  I   Meredith Sattler

Meredith Sattler is an Assistant Professor of Architecture at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, a LEED BD+C, and the founder and lead designer of Cambioform, a furniture and environmental design studio. 

Trained as an architect, an environmentalist, and an artist, her current research and teaching interests include conceptualizations of dynamic sustainable architectural systems in historic and current contexts; dynamic environments and relationships between human cognition, haptic experience, and environmental response; and the designer’s influence on the health of natural environment-technology-human interactions. She has exhibited and published nationally, and has received honors which include the 2012-13 ACSA Collaborative Practice Award, the Henry Luce Foundation Award in Restorative Environmental Design, and the Ellen Battel Stoeckel Fellowship at the Norfolk Yale Summer School of Art.

Previously, Ms. Sattler taught at the Louisiana State University School of Architecture where she
focused on coastal sustainability, she has worked for Buro Happold Consulting Engineers, and in the Film Industry. She received her Masters of Architecture and Masters of Environmental Management degrees from Yale University in 2010, and her Bachelor of Arts from Vassar College in 1995.

 

Designer  I   Steve Lee

Steve Lee is the founder of Aprilli design studio, a Los Angeles-based design atelier mainly focusing on design, research and implementation of sustainable design and planning strategies. As a product designer and architect, his project ranges from small scale product design to larger scale installation and urban proposals which improve the quality of human life, society and surrounding environments. His recent project “Aprilli Flower Vase Collection” has been showcased at various galleries and international exhibitions including ICFF 2014 and HD Expo 2015. 

Prior to founding Aprilli Design Studio, he has worked at architectural design firms such as Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, RTKL Associates and Koetter Kim Associates for about eight years as lead designer on international high rise, commercial and hospitality projects. His work has been published on international magazines and media extensively.


Steve has received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree from Yonsei University in 2002 and Master in Architecture degree from Yale University in 2007.
